Good fast machine February 24, 2010 D. Sullivan (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought this for a small office and had this machine for a month and it is working well. Very fast compared to the old fax. It was fairly easy to set up. I'm happy with this purchase. The old machine jammed a lot. We have not had a jam yet on this machine.
Good Machine February 11, 2010 Iona Sun (Detroit, Michigan USA) No fax machine is flawless, but I really like this machine. We've had one at the office for... a couple years now (?) and it never has problems. I bought one for my home office about a month ago and I'm very happy with it.
The only annoyance I have is along the same lines as comments others have made... that it goes into sleep mode after you feed the pages through. However, when it sends it tells you that it is sending if you are watching the display. So I don't have a real issue with the display. And although the display is small it is also backlit (!) - which is great for me because the machine is in a dark corner of the office.
I read the reviews here on Amazon before buying and they helped to sway me towards this unit. I can say that I'm very happy with my choice so far.
Reasonably Priced Workhorse December 8, 2009 Consultant (Tampa, FL) A great machine for a home or small office based business. Works smoothly and quickly, with no paper or feeder jams. I bought it because my daughter in law has one in her law office, where it is in constant use and works all day with absolutely no problems. Purchasing from Amazon was painless. The machine actually arrived ahead of schedule.
Excellent choice May 8, 2008 Tintin (CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This fax machine has been a great upgrade from the 2800 model we had in the office. The output "tray" is a much better design, it actually holds the incoming faxes in that spot, versus the incoming pages flying out of the machine. Overall, we're all very satisfied with this purchase.
Reliable little workhorse; best toner cost March 29, 2008 Anncamas (Camas, WA USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is my second brother laser fax machine; I replaced the first after 5+ years to get the 33.6 increased speed, not because it wore out (or broke). I have had it over 13 months and remain glad I upgraded; it's fast enough both in and out (just saw the review complaining about this when I came to Amazon to buy toner). Maybe commercial fax machines are faster but for my home based business its quite sufficient(1 to 50 page faxes are my norm). What I really like about Brother is the ink cartridges; use them for my laser printer needs too. My cost per page are lower than HP ever was and I prefer having a dedicated fax better then an all in one. The only thing I would change about Brother is the firm's lack of recycling involvement. They do not provide a prepaid label so I have to drop the cartridges elsewhere.
